Getting Married in the United Benefice
If you are planning to get married soon we would love to hear from you. A church wedding is a very special occasion and we would be delighted to help you to plan your perfect wedding in one of our churches.
If you live in one of our parishes - Tintinhull, Chilthorne Domer, Yeovil Marsh or Thorne Coffin you may be married in any of our churches. If you live outside the parishes you may still be able to married in one of our churches if you have a "qualifying connection." (Examples include having lived in the parish for six months at any time or having been baptized in one of our churches - but there are many more.)
If you would like to discuss getting married in one of our churches please contact us.

About our Churches
St Margaret of Antioch, Tintinhull
St Margaret's is the largest of our churches and can comfortably accommodate about 110 guests. This beautiful 13th century church is built in the local Ham stone and is situated in the centre of the historic village of Tintinhull about 4 miles to the north-west of Yeovil. The village has a village hall and a public house, the Crown and Victoria, which provides good food and drink and has accommodation available.
The Blessed Virgin Mary, Chilthorne Domer
St Mary's is a beautiful 13th century church to the north of the village centre. The church is not large but can seat about 60 guests. Chilthorne Domer is about 3½ miles outside Yeovil. The village has a lovely village hall and two pubs, the Carpenters' Arms, which provides good food and drink, and, on the A37, the Halfway House which additionally provides accommodation.
All Saints', Yeovil Marsh
All Saints' is a lovely, small Victorian church in the heart of the residential village of Yeovil Marsh just off the A37 on the northern edge of Yeovil. There is seating for about 60 guests. The church has a small church hall adjacent to it. The Halfway House public house is a mile away on the A37, providing food, drink and accommodation. The facilities offered by Yeovil are just a short distance away.
St Andrew the Apostle, Thorne Coffin
St Andrew's is on the northern edge of Yeovil. It is a lovely late 13th century church set high above the charming village of Thorne Coffin. There is a small village hall in the heart of the village. The church seats only about 30 guests but would make a lovely intimate venue for a small wedding. There are a number of good pubs and hotels in nearby Yeovil.
